Retirement Savings Plan - Enroll Now

For eligible employees, enrolling in the university retirement program is a simple three-step process:

Step One: Do Your Homework

* To understand the basic differences in your investment options, take a few minutes to review this summarized comparison of your choices:  http://www.hr.wayne.edu/tcw/pdfs/retirement_plan_highlights.pdf

* For more information about your specific investment choices click through the links here: http://www.hr.wayne.edu/tcw/benefits/baretprg.php#Fund-Info

* Interested in talking to a representative from a retirement plan vendor? You can call or set up an individual counseling session - for more information see the following: http://www.hr.wayne.edu/tcw/benefits/ret_plan_counsel.php

Step Two: Enroll with an Investment Provider

Complete an enrollment form. You can enroll in TIAA-CREF, Fidelity Investments or both using their online enrollment application ( the preferred method) or you can complete a paper form.

The online enrollment applications of TIAA-CREF and Fidelity Investments make enrollment easy and fast. These online applications provide the tools and information needed to make an informed decision about your investment allocation.

Click on one or more of the items below to begin the online enrollment process:

Step Three: Decide how much are you going to contribute?

To tell us how much to deduct from your pay for the retirement savings plan, complete and return the 403(b) Salary Reduction Agreement form following: http://www.hr.wayne.edu/tcw/pdfs/tax4.pdf

PLEASE NOTE: There is a two year waiting period for matching contributions to the retirement savings plan by the university. You may be able to waive all or a portion of this time based on prior service at certain other organizations. Click here for an outline of the documentation needed from your previous employer: http://www.hr.wayne.edu/tcw/benefits/baretpriors.php. This verification should accompany your 403(b) Salary Reduction Agreement form.
